The sixbellscommunitiesfirst Resource Center has created monthly classes that will help individuals with chronic neurological conditions minimize the stress of daily living by providing insight, tips and educational workshops to address a variety of life skills. These workshops are offered at Marshall Women’s Health & Education Center at Norton Suburban Hospital, Norton Medical Plaza III – Suburban, Suite 108. Friday, Oct. 11, • 2 to 4 p.m. Understanding Social Security Disability (speaker Samuel Schad)

“Singin’ in the Brain” Music and Wellness Group
This class is a good outlet for leisure and focuses on stress relief, pain management, self-expression and overall wellness. Wear comfortable, casual clothing. No vocal or musical training required. This group meets on the Norton Suburban Hospital campus, Norton Medical Plaza II – Suburban, Joan Riehm Community Room (third floor). For more information or to register, call (502) 629-1234.

Vocational rehab office hours
Jennifer Lampton, vocational rehabilitation counselor with the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation will have monthly office hours at the Norton Neuroscience Resource Center at Norton Suburban Hospital, Norton Medical Plaza II – Suburban, Suite 316, 3991 Dutchmans Lane. In addition to vocational rehab, other services include supported employment, personal assistance services, rehabilitation technology and job placement/job retention services. Patients are seen by appointment only. Call (502) 559-3230, ext. 12, to schedule an appointment.
